Hi, I'm Alexis Cox

The Play-Based Therapist Behind Homegrown Therapy

As your dedicated speech-language pathologist, I focus on fostering meaningful communication skills and functional skills that help children thrive.

My approach is rooted in a multidisciplinary, neurodiversity affirming philosophy. I combine speech, language, feeding, and other therapy services to address each child's unique needs holistically. I work closely with families to support their child's development every step of the way. My goal is to create a supportive and enriching environment for your child’s growth. Every session is tailored to inspire confidence and encourage progress in a playful, supportive setting.

I BELIEVE...

Every Child Deserves to Grow and Thrive.

My practice is guided by the belief that every child can achieve their best when therapy is personalized, engaging, and centered around the joy of play. By making therapy fun, we create a space where children feel safe, supported, and excited to learn and grow.

Playful Learning

I believe play is the key to learning for children. Through play-based therapy, children build essential skills and confidence naturally.

Family Involvement

I believe family involvement is vital. By working together, we create a collaborative environment where your child can thrive.

Holistic Approach

I believe in treating the whole child. My approach ensures all aspects of your child’s development are nurtured including their sensory needs.

An Ally for Your Family

As a parent, you know all too well the worry that comes when your child struggles to communicate, eat, or connect with others.

You want the best for them, but sometimes, it feels like the world doesn’t quite understand their unique needs.

Through my years of education and hands-on experience, I've learned that every child’s path is different and that the right support can make all the difference. With a passion for play-based therapy, I set out to create a support system where children could be themselves, where their progress would be celebrated, and where families would feel empowered every step of the way. My practice was born from the belief that every child deserves to thrive and that, together, we can make that happen.
